Splash Lagoon Indoor Waterpark Resort

“Physical Members and surface area loads dramatically improved the speed in which with we could model and look at the deflections. It was the difference between inputting the loads in an hour as opposed to spending a couple of days.”

About the Project:

Dave Steele relied on RISA-3D’s Physical Members and area load features to model the lateral and gravity systems of the 77,000-sq. ft. facility, the largest waterpark on the East Coast. The framing system and roof of the waterpark is comprised of glulam timber columns and beams. Steele used the Physical Members and area load features for the first time on the waterpark project and was impressed with the results.
