About the Project:
Fabrication of a 6 Well Standard Production Platform, comprising of a tripod jacket, cellar, sub cellar and helicopter decks. On this fast-track project, Bature had to produce a material take off of the entire platform in two weeks. RISA-3D's robust analysis engine, material take off option and built-in library of shapes, helped Bature meet his deadline.
Another challenge of the project was the positioning of accessories on the model. Some of the components were shapeless and took great effort to get their right shape and connection position within the tight time constraint.
“I was able to convert these items into equivalent load and position them in some cases with the anticipated offsets and have the situation close to reality as possible,” Bature says.
